U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Benefits Systems Operations & Maintenance

Since 2010, SIS has supported the VA benefits and modernization project including VETSNET, VBMS, VRMS, VISTA etc.

Systems supported and maintained by SIS processed over 4.5 million US Veterans claims and payments in excess of $68billion in FY16.

SIS provides the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Office of Resources Management Program Management Office (PMO) support, business process improvement, and support services, including functional analysis, implementation support, project management activities, and contract support services for the Veterans Service Network (VETSNET) Compensation & Pension (C&P) Replacement System, the Education Service Benefits Delivery (BDN) Replacement System (The Expert Education System (TEES), the Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment (VR&E) Replacement System, Corporate WINRS (CWINRS) Phase 2 and the BDN Chapter 31 Benefit System projects. The SIS project team includes of certified Business Process Expert, Information Systems SME, and Project Management Professionals (PMP) with the skills and abilities to conduct technical and functional analysis to support the ORM in the completion and implementation of the VETSNET C&P, BDN, TEES, VR&E, and CWINRS systems.

Additional requirements of the task order include the provision of complex data analytics to meet congressional requirements such as COLA, or issues relating to FOIA. SIS provided the information in a timely manner to the customers, including congressional leaders, VA leadership and other authorized stakeholders.
